"The EV2100 has changed the way
in which math teachers at Foothill High School deliver content to
students. This wireless device combined with a tablet laptop PC and
a LCD projector enable our teachers to walk around the room while
presenting new material, going over homework problems and showing
content from the web. Every public school teacher knows how
important PROXIMITY is during classroom instruction, especially with
more energetic or disruptive student populations. Being totally
wireless means we don't have to stop our lesson to stand near an
off-task student or to stand between two students that are
distracting each other. We can roam around the classroom while we
present the lesson. Being wireless also means we can ask students to
present their written solutions from their desk, eliminating the
intimidation and wasted time associated with having a student walk
up to the board. We tried other wireless VGA adapters, but found
that dedicating the computer's internal wireless card to VGA signal
transmission meant that we'd lose our wireless LAN/Internet
connection.
Since the EV2100 acts as both a wireless VGA adapter and a wireless
router, we can project VGA and communicate with the wireless network
all through one network card. Our Math Department currently owns 10
of the EV2100's"
